Sennheiser Latin America

Key factors for Sennheiser’s success in Latin America

We have several important Latin artists and TV stars working with Sennheiser in the region. Examples are Diego Torres, Ivete Sangalo, Rubben Blades and Shakira. We have a strong presence in almost all of the well-known carnival parades in Brazil (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador). We are the leading brand in almost all TV stations in Latin America.

We have very large guidePORT systems installed in museums and historic parks in Mexico, SDC conference systems in Panama and a big TourGuide system in the Maracanã football stadium in Brazil. As well as Sennheiser microphones and headphones we also distribute the premium audio brand Neumann microphones.

What makes us special

Sennheiser Latin America has been growing steadily since its foundation. The international awards that Sennheiser has won are of great importance also for the Latin American region. Additionally, we have been honoured with many awards from TV stations, magazines and audio organisations from various parts of the Latin American region.

What we love doing

Two Ps: PEOPLE and PASSION. Relationships are very important in Latin America, we value the personal relationship and it can be taken even as the basis of the trust for doing business. Passion is a key attribute of the Latin American culture. We are passionate about life, about football, about music and about our own culture. The Sennheiser Latin American team can connect well with all of that, bringing to life the Sennheiser brand in an authentic way for Latin America.

We put our hearts into what we do. Besides being passionate we are also a very multi-cultural team. While most countries speak Spanish (except Brazil, where the language is Portuguese), cultures are still very different from country to country. We have richness in our culture, in the music, in the different accents and, of course, in the different people. And Latin Americans are passionate about it all.

We maintain an Artist Relations Endorsement programme, supporting well-known as well as up-and-coming artists with equipment and service. We also sponsor music festivals, educational/research programmes and cultural organisations, in most cases by providing product and service support. A good example is our support of a research project about the sounds of the rainforest in the Amazon region in Brazil.

The Latin American team consists of 17 passionate people covering the entire region, including sales, marketing, finance and logistics, managing a network of 120 distribution partners across countries and business channels.

Where we have roots

Today Sennheiser employs more than 2,100 people in over 90 countries. Our global headquarters is located in Wennebostel, Germany, a small town close to the northern German city of Hanover. Our Wennebostel production facilities meet the highest technical standards in the production of microphones, wireless transmission technology, conference and TourGuide systems, aviation headsets, high-quality headphones and headphone transducers and monitor systems.

Where we are at home

Sennheiser Latin America is part of Sennheiser Americas, with headquarters at Sennheiser Electronic Corporation in Old Lyme, CT. In 1995, Sennheiser founded a subsidiary in Mexico City to establish a local support presence in one of the key markets of the region. While the team initially focused on developing Mexico, over time the organisation grew and since then support is provided to all of Latin America, including the Caribbean. Today, the Mexico office is an important communication hub for the Latin American team offering finance, logistics and marketing services for the entire region.
